MARY Co-owner Mary has been teaching yoga for 6 years. Mary completed her 200-RYT with Yoga Gyan Jyoti in Racine. Mary teaches the Beginner Yoga Series, Sunshine Yoga, Gentle Chair and Hatha Yoga.
Mary is trained in Access Consciousness and ARoMATOUCH technique.
CINDY Co-owner Cindy completed her 200-RYT with Yoga Gyan Jyoti in Racine and has been teaching yoga for 6 years. Cindy teaches and enjoys many different styles of yoga including Yin/ Yang, Hatha, and Yoga with Aroma classes. She also offers Reiki, Thai Yoga Massage, Aromatouch, and Bars/ Access Consciousness sessions. Co-owning Yoga Roots has been a great joy to her through the years.
LISA I became a Yoga teacher in Hawaii in 2013, where we were taught through what is called “Unified” Yoga. It is a bit of many of the different types of yoga out there. I tend to teach using vinyasa flow, which transitions us smoothly from one pose to the next. I like to use short meditations and encourage setting intentions toward relaxation. Also part of my life are Reiki Healing and Aromatherapy using essential oils. I love to teach workshops based on the spiritual energy around and inside of us.
MARY JO I began practicing yoga sporadically about 10 years ago. After retiring from the corporate life, I realized how therapeutic yoga was for me. Yoga has also helped me in so many ways, from stress relief to meditation & relaxation.
Yoga is one of my passions along with sharing talents & ideas. I encourage students to come join me in a gentle flowing yet challenging postures and find acceptance of themselves in their practice.
In March 2017, I completed my teacher training through Yoga Roots Racine. In addition to my Yoga RYT 200, I am also a certified mat Pilates & group exercise teacher.
MELISSA I received my 200 RYT from YogaFit and love to teach in a meditative flowing style, encouraging everyone to breathe, to be aware of how we are feeling, and to be in the present moment. With practice, we can enjoy that wonderfully calm, centered feeling throughout our day.
My 11 years of teaching experience includes both group environments and private clientele. My private clientele includes marathon runners, people recovering from knee and shoulder injuries, and those who are simply not comfortable in a group environment.
BOBBI I have been teaching and practicing Yoga and Pilates for over 10 years. I have completed a 200RYT Vinyasa Flow at Yoga One in Cedarburg. I also have certifications in Sport Yoga and Pilates. I am registered with The Yoga Alliance. My journey started in the fitness world of over 20 years of experience as a Personal Trainer and instructor. I have focused on helping my clients to achieve fitness goals, improved health, and overall wellness. My practice is primarily Vinyasa flow, moving smoothly from one posture to another. I also enjoy Slow Flow, Hatha, Yin, restorative postures, and meditation. I feel with daily practice we can bring overall health, peace and wellness into our lives. I continue to be a student in my Yoga practice, so I may improve my skills, awareness, and evolving to better communicate my passion for yoga and all its benefits.
KATRINA I have a Certification in Pilates Mat Work with fifteen years experience instilling in students the pillars of Pilates (concentration, centering, control, breathing, precision and flow). I am passionate about discovering new ways of moving and improving health and fitness! My sincere hope is that your practice ultimately enhances the life you lead off your mat!
CATHY My first yoga class was sponsored through a Road Runners Club, i was a great way to get a full body workout. After practicing at local studios, I found the mind/body balance that yoga delivers. It was natural progression to take the plunge and become a RYT by completing the 200 hour teacher training at the Long Island Yoga School. My passion to share the benefits of yoga is a driving force in my teaching.
